ACT Test Dates & Registration 2024-2025

The ACT is a key component of the college application process for many students. It helps colleges assess academic readiness and compare applicants across the nation. Planning ahead and understanding registration deadlines is essential for ensuring you are ready for test day.

If you miss the regular registration deadline, you can still register for the ACT with a late fee, or if you’re in a bind, standby registration is also available, although space is not guaranteed.

ACT Fee Waivers

Certain 11th- and 12th-grade students who meet income-based eligibility criteria can apply for a fee waiver to take the ACT at no cost. Check the official ACT website for more details about how to qualify and apply for fee waivers.

Testing Outside of a Testing Center

If you’re homebound or have a disability, the ACT offers arranged testing at locations that are more accessible to you. You can find out if you’re eligible for such accommodations by contacting ACT directly or speaking with your school counselor.
